  • Juice from ½ a small lemon
  • 1 Tbsp of baking soda
  • 1 tsp of honey


  1. In a small bowl, mix together the ingredients. You want a paste-like consistency. If it’s too runny, add more baking soda. If it’s too thick, you can thin it out with a little water.
  2. Gently apply the mask mixture to clean damp skin using your fingers. Be careful not to scrub.
  3. Let the mask sit on your face for about 5-10 minutes. You might feel some slight tingling and tightening. 
  4. Wash off with warm water.

  • 100g unscented shea butter
  • 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil


  1. Gently melt the shea butter over the stove using a steamer.
  2. Stir the olive oil into the melted butter, then place the mixture in the fridge to cool for 30 to 40 minutes.
  3. Once cooled, whip the mixture with a hand mixer until the lotion has a creamy texture.
  4. Apply and absorb all those lovely cool moisturising oils.
  5. You can keep this butter for up to 6 months.

Keep as cool as a cucumber

Cucumber is naturally full of moisture and it has amazing cooling properties that reduce redness and keep skin soft and supple.   • 1/2 cucumber, pureed and peeled
  • 60ml milk
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar


  1. Blend all the ingredients together in a small bowl.

  3. Allow to sit for 5 – 10 minutes.
  4. Wash off with warm water.
  5. Sit back and enjoy your fresh, cool and bright skin.

If you have sensitive skin, then you want to stay away from harsher ingredients like lemon. So for those who have softer skin try this yummy yoghurt mask. The combination makes for a gentle but powerful mask that will keep you looking and feeling wonderful.


  • 1 Tbsp unflavoured Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder


  1. In a small bowl mix the ingredients together.
  2. Gently apply to clean dry skin.
  3. Allow the mask to sit for 5 – 10 minutes until some hardening begins to happen.
  4. Wash off with warm water.
