Rooibos Ice-Tea Cocktail Recipe

Ice-tea is such a refreshing beverage on a hot day, and if you throw in a touch of gin you have a perfect summer cocktail. Try this delicious ice-tea cocktail:

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 x Rooibos tea bags
  • 50ml liquid honey
  • 2 x fresh nectarines
  • 2 x fresh oranges
  • Gilbey’s orange-flavoured gin

Instructions:

  1. Add in 4 rooibos tea bags per 1 litre of water and bring to a boil in a pot.
  2. Allow time for the tea to steep so that the flavour is released.
  3. Take the pot off the boil and remove the tea bags.
  4. Stir in the honey until it is completely dissolved.
  5. Pour the tea into a jug and allow to cool.
  6. Cut the nectarines into cubes and add into the tea
  7. Peel the oranges, separate the segments and add them into the tea.
  8. Add one part Gilbey’s orange-flavoured gin to four parts of ice tea
  9. Add some ice cubes and serve.
