Where do you go for dinner on a Monday night in Joburg? I find it’s the worst night of the week to go out, but last night friends booked us a table at The Grillhouse Sandton. It took me right back to the same street where I started my working career, Alice Lane.
It’s in an amazing business precinct with impressive buildings, outdoor spaces and a variety of restaurants to choose from. There are large trees, which will provide ample shade in the summer months, perfect for sundowners after a day at the office.
The Grillhouse is always a good choice. The service was impeccable, the food delicious and the atmosphere lively. I’m always worried about not eating red meat in a steak house but I’m happy to say my kingklip was perfect – firm and moist and the mixed veggies delish.
